Modern Slavery Statement

Motiv8 Career Services is committed to preventing modern slavery and human
trafficking in all aspects of our work, this inline with the Modern Day Slavery Act 2015. We
recognise our responsibility to act ethically and with integrity, and to safeguard the
rights and well-being of everyone we work with, including young people, adults, staff,
volunteers, partners, and suppliers.

Our Organisation

We provide careers guidance and related support services to young people and adults.
Our services are delivered directly by our staff and through a small number of trusted
partners and suppliers.

Our Commitment

We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery, forced labour, child labour, and
human trafficking. We are committed to:
• Acting lawfully and ethically in all our activities
• Protecting vulnerable individuals from exploitation
• Promoting fair, safe, and dignified working conditions

Policies and Procedures

To support this commitment, we have appropriate policies and practices in place,
including:
• Safeguarding policies for children, young people, and adults
• Safer recruitment practices, including right-to-work checks
• Codes of conduct for staff and volunteers
• Clear procedures for raising concerns (whistle-blowing)

These policies are reviewed regularly to ensure they remain effective and up to date.
Supply Chain and Partners

Our supply chain is limited and primarily UK-based. It includes services such as training
providers, IT services, venues, and professional support. We expect all suppliers and
partners to:

• Comply with relevant employment, safeguarding, and labour laws
• Treat workers fairly and without coercion or exploitation
• Share our commitment to preventing modern slavery

Where appropriate, we carry out due diligence when engaging new suppliers and
include expectations around ethical practice.

Training and Awareness

We ensure that staff and volunteers are aware of modern slavery risks, particularly in
relation to:

• Vulnerable young people and adults
• Unsafe or exploitative employment or training opportunities

Staff are encouraged to raise concerns and are supported to do so safely.

Reporting Concerns

Any concerns relating to modern slavery or exploitation are taken seriously and will be
acted upon promptly. Concerns can be raised internally through management or
safeguarding leads, and where necessary, referred to appropriate external agencies.

Ongoing Commitment

We are committed to continually improving our practices to identify, prevent, and
mitigate the risk of modern slavery in our services and supply chains.
This statement is reviewed annually and approved by senior management.
